I have all plans to make car donations but I was advised that I shouldn’t just do it immediately. There were a couple of tips that was given to me, and the first one is to avoid middlemen. Numerous for-profit intermediary organizations advertise aggressively on TV, billboards and elsewhere, offering to help you donate your vehicle to charity. Here’s the catch: These organizations typically keep about 50 percent to 90 percent of the vehicle’s value for themselves, and the charities don’t get what they could have gotten. To prevent this, check directly with charities you admire and find out whether they accept car or boat donations. Second thing to keep in mind when making car donations is to find a worthy charity… If the charities you normally support aren’t equipped to accept such donations, do some homework until you find a reputable charity that is. You can research charities’ track records online at this Better Business Bureau site and through Charity Navigator. Then lastly, check the math. If you still feel compelled to use an intermediary organization – possibly because you’re busy – at least ask the organization how much of the car or boat’s value will go to charity. If the organization simply gives charities flat fees — say, $150 for a used vehicle regardless of its value, or $2,000 a month — your donation may not be eligible for a tax deduction. Those are basically just a few of what they told me about making car donations. There are a lot more but I think these three are the best.

My brother is asking me what would win between brand new vs used cars… I answered him in a form of question, asking him why he is asking such question… He said he finally got enough money to buy his own car but he is thinking which would be better. I told him if he really wants something that is looking good, he would need to go to the brand new ones, complete with the deeds and guarantee of the car. But if he wants to be a little economical, it will never hurt to buy a used car, provided he makes sure that he will give full attention to the deal and the car itself since of course, the last thing that he would want is to have a second hand car with lousy features.

Although I also told him to get the used ones because there are a lot of used cars available that are still in great condition, he just have to know where and how to look. I told him I will be calling some of my friends that know some good dealers so we could have something good for him in no time at all.

I was trying to figure out how I could properly maintain the quality of my new car since this is basically the first time that I ever had one. I have asked my friends and some relatives that already have cars and they told me the same things that I think I should share here for people like me to see. There were four particular tips that were kept on being given to me and the first one is to make sure to keep in mind that regular oil changes are very important to keep the engine in a good shape. Make sure that the engine always has new oil to avoid clogs and other problems. Next is to wash the car regularly, wax it once in a while to keep the car body shiny and free from deterioration.

Of course, the exterior is also an important part of the car and it should be highly regarded since it is the very first thing that people see and it is always the one facing the unpredictability of the weathers. Next is to take care of any minor concerns as soon as you can, so it won’t cause serious problems and an expensive repair later, minor stuff like issues on the wipers or maybe cracks on the mirrors. Then lastly use only original parts for the most obvious reasons.

I don’t think I could ever write something about my dream car on the account that it is a little impossible to happen… my dream is to have that one car that has the horse power of a Ferrari, the size of a Ford Expedition, the durability of a Pajero and a hybrid that can run using biodiesel… which as I have said, is a little impossible to happen, unless all of those companies try to come up with one car that does all of it. but then again, all of those cars that I have said are the ones that I really like. With the Ferrari, of course for the obvious reasons, is the kick-ass look of the car and its fiery red color. I like For Expedition due to its size, especially the 2000 edition. I think it is one of the best designed, big cars that we have so far and the color black has really made it in to a real eye candy, then add the off road tires for it and it makes one big bully of a car that is suitable for everyone to enjoy. With the Pajero, well we all know how strong and durable this car is so I’ll leave it there.
